GHOST GiRL's 2024 Year End Review

Im a few days into the new year already, but here's the full report of 2024!

Thank you everyone for making 2024 a really special year for GHOST GiRL GOODS!

It has been the busiest and most successful year. This was the first year where I had 1 event every month (some months had 2 events!)!! March was the only month I did not have any events! To think of the journey after all these years, I am reaching a point now where I am working on GGG full time (for the most part) and I am seeing the growth more and more! I am achieving some of my life goals and my dreams are coming true slowly and slowly! With that being said, new goals and new dreams are being formed and now I am working towards those. Life is tough, but I am so grateful for everything that GGG has brought into my life. I felt like this year had it's struggles, but I sort of felt like it had a bit less than some previous years. I'll keep my fingers crossed in hopes that it can continue to go up!

I am so appreciative and grateful for all the people who support GGG, who support me and what I do. You like what I do, you like the energy I give, and I just want to keep giving that energy and a space for everyone to embrace themselves and their personal style!

JANUARY

I held a big photoshoot for our product photos, and also released the Angel's Assistant Jacket! Our first guest appearance of the year was at SacAnime in Sacramento, CA. I was accompanied by my good friend Mika, who helped me capture footage from the fashion show. This event, however, was not the best for overall experience. My fashion show was fun and I had good models who were enjoying themselves and the items they wore, my 1 booth neighbor was very kind, but overall, I'm not sure if I would return again.

FEBRUARY

Next up, we went to KamiCon in Alabama. This convention was the biggest surprise for me, as it seemed the attendees really loved fashion! We participated in the fashion show, which also featured Million Dollar Orchestra. I met a lot of very friendly people within the J-fashion community there (coming over to my booth to make a purchase or just saying hello) and even saw some familiar faces from other USA conventions! I hope I can attend this convention again next year!

MARCH

As I mentioned in the intro, I didn't have any events in March, mostly just meetings and personal activities!

APRIL

Our second year at Anime St Louis in Missouri. Thanks to our dear friend, who is the organizer of all the J-Fashion activities at the con, we were able to attend again! This year, we did the fashion show, MC'd the show and the cosplay contest, attended the J-Fashion events, and enjoyed time with friends!

MAY

The beginning of May started off with visiting Los Angeles for Sebastian Masuda's grand opening of "YES, KAWAII IS ART - Express Yourself" Exhibition. This was a very special experience for me and I'm really happy I was able to go. We also participated in Harajuku Day LA. Then, late May, we participated in Anime North and held a brand new event: The Fashion Monster Isekai Cafe! It was such a fun experience and probably one of the top highlights of the year! We hope to bring you more fun events like that next year~!

JUNE

Another super fun Yeticon! This year, I hosted a big Aggretsuko cosplay group with friends and also held another year of Jojo's Bizarre Red Light, Green Light, while wearing another special Jojo x GGG cosplay (it was Mista this year!) As always, Yeticon is just a super fun and relaxing time. It was extra special this year because my bestest Vegas buddies were visiting and also modeled the new Ocean in Space collab!

JULY

I hosted another Harajuku Fashion Picnic and teamed up with local caterer Whimsical Twist again for cute food! I also had the chance to go to Tekko to help out with 6%DOKIDOKI, participate in their fashion show as a model, and also danced during Sebastian Masuda's DJ set! It was fun to go back to Tekko because, last time I was there was in 2019!

AUGUST

The busiest month of the whole year!! 3 back to back events. Guest appearance at Otakuthon was so much fun! Im really glad I was able to return, since the last time I was there was in 2019 for the NEW GENERATION KAWAII Tour! And it was great because HYPER CORE was also having his first Canadian guest appearance! So Im happy I was able to welcome him~! (It's too bad we were both too busy to interact much!) Fan Expo was next, but I wasn't there with GGG. I was just helping my good friend Ocean in Space, since we released our collab collection! But it inspired me to try and apply to have a booth for 2025! Lastly, Anime Magic! ended off the month. We were invited back again and also did a special collaboration for official merchandise!

SEPTEMBER

After Anime Magic! was over, I was off to Japan shortly after! I held my 2nd pop up at 6%DOKIDOKI and also participated in an event at Design Festa Gallery. I went to Japan for 1 months worth of time and I felt like I was able to get a lot of things done! I recorded many blog posts about my adventures, so be sure to check all of them out!

OCTOBER

My Harajuku pop-ups both closed up on October 6th and I returned home shortly after. I also had our local event Kei Con 1 week after returning. I was the fashion show organizer and MCing as usual, so its not too hard to manage! This was also the month where GHOST GIRL GOODS was showcased in Sebastian's exhibit in LA, alongside another indie designer (in this case, it was YokaiDecidance) I also had 2 online collaboration collections release: TOKYO x TORONTO Sticker Wall and Gummi Pop (Ocean in Space x GGG)

NOVEMBER

Our 3rd guest appearance at Sin City Anime! I'm always so happy to visit my good friends in Vegas and this time around, I was able to actually enjoy some time around the Vegas strip area! Fremont Street, The Punk Rock Museum, and the One Piece Cafe to name a few! We also started some discussions for next year's event, which will be held at a new venue! Around the end of October, I had a very last minute invitation to do a 1st time fashion show at WasabiCon in Jacksonville, Florida!

DECEMBER

The last month of the year wraps up with helping out with Anime Weekend Atlanta's fashion content and my guest appearance at Holiday Matsuri alongside 6%DOKIDOKI. What a perfect way to end the year with my favourite fashion buddies! Both events were very special for me and I'm really happy for the opportunities to be able to go to both. During my visit in Orlando, Florida, I also had the chance to go to Disney (which is a very special place to me) and make some new memories which I will now hold very close to my heart.

(2024's final fashion show at Holiday Matsuri, with 6%DOKIDOKI and GHOST GiRL GOODS)

And that's a wrap!! 2024 was so so so full of wonderful experiences for me and so much growth! 2025 will have even more and it'll be better then ever!!

BE STRANGE. FEAR THE NORM.
